かつてはほとんどが干潟で覆われていた東京湾ですが、今では数えるほどしか残っていません。
そんな貴重な干潟の一つである千葉県木更津市の盤州干潟で干潟の持つ豊かな生態系や環境を使った学びの場所をつくるプロジェクトが進んでいます。

干潟をフィールドとして、さまざまなことを経験する中で、その背景にある漁業や海運といった干潟を取り巻く仕組みの話、海の環境問題、木更津市が抱えている課題までも活動の範疇として繋がっていきます。

活動を通して気付いたことが、また次の活動の原動力となり、ヒト、モノ、コトの関係図が広がっていきます。試してみるまでわからなかった関連性や、参加者に出会いながら、目標達成型のプロジェクト進行では得られない探究としての場所づくりを目指しています。

この活動を通して見えてくるコンテクストを整理して、空間に繋げていく役割としてプロジェクトを協働していきます。

Once largely covered by tidal flats, Tokyo Bay now has only a handful remaining. A project is underway at Banshu Tidal Flat in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture—one of these precious remaining tidal flats—to create a learning space utilizing the rich ecosystem and environment of the tidal flat.

Using the tidal flats as a field, participants gain diverse experiences. This naturally connects to broader topics within the project's scope: the underlying systems surrounding the flats like fisheries and shipping, marine environmental issues, and even challenges faced by Kisarazu City itself.

Insights gained through these activities fuel subsequent initiatives, expanding the network of relationships between people, things, and events. We aim to create a space for exploration—one that reveals connections unseen until tested and fosters encounters with participants—unlike goal-oriented project management.

We collaborate on this project to organize the context revealed through these activities and connect it to the physical space.
